What's the Story?

Before you start modeling and making animations, you first need to understand what it is that you are making and why are you making it. If you don't answer the two questions, then there is no point to this movie.

We are creating a fan movie that takes place in a magical world full of wonder and adventure. The movie will take place right after the last season of Skylanders Academy. The reason why this project is being worked on is because most of the audience was impressed by the art and renders of these characters. So I came up with idea to develop the fan movie for all the fans out there.

Voice Recording

Audacity is a perfect free program to use when recording people's talented voices. For those who are using Discord use different audio programs. Once the recordings are completed, I do my part to edit the recording to match it to my liking.

Art

All the renders that you see are made using Blender since it is a free program. I also add a special glare to the renders to make it more dynamic.

Character Modeling and Rigging

Off course we can't have a fan movie without the return of our loving characters from the series. Every one of them are home made and ready for animation. It took a lot of bone rigging and modeling edits to make it identical to the series.

Each of the animations take time and require lots of patience and imagination to the bring the characters to life.

Storyboard and Layout Scene

Once the models are all rigged and ready for animation, the next step is to create a storyboard before animating. This gives you an idea on what the animation would look like before the render. They come in many simple sketch and once combined, they create one big scene.

This process takes time and it requires lots of drawing and noting.

Animations and Renders

Now that the scenes are all set and the storyboards are confirmed, it is now time to move on to the animation renders.
